Yogi Shashi Penumarthy
Yogi Shashi Penumarthy was born in South India in the state of Andhra Pradesh in a small town. At the age of 6, the Divine Feminine came into his life and took over his body, placing him in a state of total surrender in which he lived for the next 26 years, having absolutely no control over his body and being nothing but a pure witness to all that was going on around him. During these years, he lived entirely within himself, uninterested in the world around him in a state of total inner silence.
At the age of 21, he left India for the US. He distinctly remembers looking at a picture of a university in Arizona and knowing that while the US was a beautiful place, the people were starving for love and that he needed to go there and serve.
Despite this, it took another 21 years before he was able to make it to Tucson, Arizona where he lives today, during which he traveled extensively around the US and gained knowledge of and experience in a wide range of subjects.
His entire life has been dedicated to the study of the nature of the Divine Feminine and Her ways on this Earth. When he was 33 years old, he was released from surrender and given 7 years to heal from his spiritual work, which had left his body in a very bad state. After experiencing and recovering from innumerable illnesses and conditions (some of which he is still healing from), he was asked to travel around the US, speak to young women and write the first 2 volumes of the book in addition to sharing his insights through videos and a blog.
Long periods of spiritual service have left his body in a fragile state and as a result he rarely interacts with anyone in person, as he tends to take on the pain and suffering of the people he encounters, causing his body to deteriorate further.
Today, he lives alone and almost entirely in silence, awaiting the next generation of young women to take over and continue his work. He spends his time mainly working on a project focusing on uncovering and demystifying the relationship between music and spirituality.
